Superb accommodation - lovely hosts - great location. Unlike many properties when White Lodge says luxury it means luxury - you will not be disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble and the guest lounge with log fire was a great bonus.

Tips:

We ate at the Griffin (excellent) - the Jolly sportsman (very good) - the sloop (good)

Where to start; absolutely wonderful from the moment we pulled onto the drive. We were warmly greeted by both Ann & Martin and shown to our spacious, immaculately clean room. The home cooked food was delicious and beautifully presented. The bathroom was well stocked with high end products and soft, warm towels. A must for anyone looking for some downtime in the rural backwaters of East Sussex.

Tips:

Lewes is 15mins down the road with an array of fine restaurants and independent shops.

Once again, it's difficult to find words that are glowing enough to praise White Lodge. It is a simply wonderful place to stay and the welcome provided by Ann and Martin is outstanding. I think I've said before it's like being a member of a family that live in a very beautiful modern house with everything thought about down the last detail. The spacious bedrooms are appointed to the highest standards with consideration for every need of the modern traveller - for example, multiple USB sockets at both sides of the bed - no need for lots of adapters and trailing wires - heaven. The bathrooms are huge with lovely showers, towels, soaps. The breakfasts are generously outstanding and cater for every dietary requirement. I asked for halloumi cheese - I got halloumi cheese. Just the best B+B ever!

Tips:

Ideal for Glyndebourne - and exceeding the standard of that amazing opera house.

Everything that one would wish for in a stylish B&B from the very comfortable room full of little practical touches to a superb breakfast - and not to forget the warm welcome

Tips:

From White Lodge we went to Glyndebourne (15 minutes), Standen (Fascinating Arts and Crafts NT house 30 minutes away) and the coast, walking the South Downs Way from Birling Gao to Beachy Head and back. Stunning views and a rare (in 2023) day of good weather

Ann and Martin are warm and welcoming and a font of information on the area. Staying at White Lodge is like staying at in a friend's own home! This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at this B&B, the first time being in 2020 and it is by far the best B&B in which we have stayed! We hope to stay at WHITE LODGE again in 2024 when we attend Glyndebourne.

Thank you so much for your hospitality - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at White Lodge. You have a beautiful home, our room was perfect, and the breakfasts first class. It was a shame the weather wasn’t better as we would have loved to have relaxed on your roof terrace. We will be back!

Tips:

We enjoyed visiting the National Trust’s Sheffield Park and Gardens, which is just a short drive away. Lewes is well worth a visit - so much history and locations to visit. The Sussex Guild’s gallery has a fantastic range of arts and crafts to view and buy. We spent time in two Lewes pubs - Lansdown Arms and The Royal Oak. Both had a good selection of local ales. We also at the Zorba Mezze Grill, a Turkish restaurant, which was very good - big portions though!

10th July 2023:

Ann and Martin have a beautiful home, impeccably maintained asking with the grounds. They are extremely welcoming and accommodating. I booked a 2 night stay to celebrate my wife's birthday and from the booking all the way through to departure it was a pleasure. I booked directly on their website and received a welcome email along with a breakfast menu (including vegetarian and vegan options). The email included many suggestions of local places to eat and visit along with instructions of how to get to the property (easy to find with the satnav). On arrival we were welcomed by Ann and given a tour of the beautiful property and the garden. The room itself was ensuite, impeccably cleaned and very well presented. Our room directly overlooked the beautiful garden and every morning we were greeted by a view of the local wildlife (pheasants, rabbits and squirrels). Breakfast (vegetarian) was served at a time that was convenient to us, locally sourced and delicious. Ann is a great gardener and my wife got many tips on growing vegetables and looking after her own plants. It really felt like we were staying with old friends. My only regret was we didn't spend more time at the property itself, relaxing in the garden or on the amazing roof terrace.

Tips:

Standen house a National Trust Arts and Crafts family home with Morris & Co. interiors set in a beautiful hillside garden. Quick and convenient train services to Brighton with easy parking at Lewes station.

The quality of the bedroom and bathroom facilities and the superb bed; the beautifully laid dining table with lovely platters and great cutlery and THE most delicious of breakfasts; the gorgeous garden and quiet setting and best of all the warmth of the welcome from Ann & Martin.

Tips:

We were visiting friends nearby- so not appropriate for us to complete on this occasion.

We had a lovely stay at White Lodge. Ann & Martin were very welcoming hosts, we enjoyed discussing making bread and preserves! Their home and garden are beautiful and they are situated in a an excellent position in the countryside with many places within a short distance to visit. Delicious breakfasts and homemade cakes were much appreciated by us both. Will definitely recommend and hope to return again ourselves.

Tips:

Close to a number of National Trust properties. Enjoyed meals at the Cock Inn Ringmer and The Bull on the Green Newick

You both made us feel very welcome. Your home was extremely comfortable and luxurious. The breakfasts were wonderful and so beautifully laid out for us each morning (and delicious!). The pre-planning from the time we booked, through to our arrival, was excellent and ensured there were no awkward surprises for any of us. Thank you for your help and advice regarding places to eat, best routes, and places to visit. You were the ideal hosts, and we hope to return next year.

Tips:

Ideal location to visit Standen House & Garden, Herstmonceux (but check which parts are open before arriving), Lewes Castle. With regard to restaurants, in addition to the places that Ann & Martin recommend, we found The Rainbow (2 miles south of White Lodge) to be fine for pub grub with a tasty carvery on Wednesdays and Sundays, and The Castle Chinese restaurant in Lewes was excellent.

What a pleasure it was to stay in your beautiful home. You made us most welcome and our visit exceeded all expectations. It was especially kind of you to allow my father to sleep in the downstairs room. I love how you have spared no expense on the fixtures and fittings. A five star experience for sure. And your breakfasts are to die for!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

A very warm welcome from Anne and Martin, who were perfect hosts in every way. Our room was spacious and we also had the run of a sitting room, the garden and a roof terrace. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at White Lodge. It was wonderful to be able to relax in such beautiful surroundings. White Lodge is definitely a luxury B & B - everything from the breakfast to the large, comfortable bedroom and even the daily supply of home-made cake is of the highest standard. Ann's attention to detail is amazing. Ann and Martin were kind enough to accommodate us for an unplanned, extended stay. We would have stayed even longer if we hadn't had to return home!

Tips:

Alfriston is a pretty village. If you're in the area and looking for a meal, the Plough & Harrow less than 10 minutes away at Litlington is well worth a visit. If you enjoy fantastic all-round views and sunsets, Firle Beacon near West Firle (20-25 minutes from White Lodge) is a great place to head to.

This was the third time that we had stayed at White Lodge and we hope very much that it won't be the last. The level of friendly and welcoming hospitality is exemplary. The level of comfort is high and the breakfasts are delicious and made from locally sourced products. many items are made by either Martin or Ann, so the amount of effort and sheer hard work thay put into their B and B is remarkable.

Ann and Martin were excellent hosts and the White Lodge is a special place to stay. One of the highlights was definitely breakfast: delicious and decadent. I stayed with them because I was going to Sam Lee's "Singing with Nightingales" (nearby), but would love to return and go to Glyndebourne.

Tips:

The hosts' local knowledge completely shaped my time in their part of the country - from good places to visit to where to park. I spent several hours at Charleston, a short drive away (be sure to book if you want to look round the house - highly recommended). For eating, I'd recommend the welcome and the (unlikely sounding) goat curry at the Blacksmith's Arms in Offham. Absolutely delicious.

Ann and Martin made us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay (a week). White Lodge is a striking modern building and inside is spacious and very comfortable. Their part of Sussex is beautiful: wooded farmland, small villages and within easy reach of magnificent coastal scenery. Probably the best B & B in the country ?

Excellent, knowledgeable and welcoming hosts - nothing is too much trouble for Ann and Martin. Wonderful breakfast and great facilities including gardens, generous patio area and parking space. Extremely comfortable and spacious bedrooms with sumptuous en-suites. This is a fantastic luxury B&B for a few days rest and relaxation along with terrific site seeing opportunities.

Tips:

Very convenient for Glyndebourne and many beautiful National Trust locations with houses and stunning gardens. Lots of good local gastro-pubs and restaurants with The Jolly Fisherman being our favourite.

White Lodge is an outstanding B&B - 5+ star hotel quality in a lovely home set deep in Sussex Woodland. Rooms, bathrooms and beds are huge and comfortable and the breakfasts - cooked to order for the small number of guests (maximum 6) - are to die for.

Tips:

Great for Glyndebourne (15 minutes), loads of National Trust properties, Brighton and Eastbourne within easy reach, historic Lewes on the doorstep, excellent country pubs all around.

Lovely, welcoming place to stay. Very comfortable, bed and quiet, spotless bedroom room. Every last detail anticipated, including chilled water and fresh milk with a vast selection of teas for the morning. Super breakfast, very tasty, loads of choice. Our hosts were exceptional. Our only suggestion would be a rug or two on the floor in the bedroom - the ceramic tiles are chilly.

Anne and Martin we such great hosts. Incredibly professional but also very welcoming. We were house hunting and Anne gave us lots of useful information. If you were sightseeing there was an abundance of information and maps about the area. Facilities were fantastic, beautiful big room overlooking the garden and a superb en suite. Real attention to detail, bath robes and nice shampoo and hand lotion and even a cake on arrival ! Breakfast was excellent, massive choice and seated in their beautiful dinning room. Lounge area was large and also had a massive roof terrace. Defiantly no ordinary B& B five star +++

Tips:

Evening meal at The Bull in Newick was very pleasant. Had a nice lunch at The Anchor by the river & you could take a row boat out if you fancied. Went for amazing cliff top walk in Seaford beautiful views and then a swim in the sea. Overall best of both worlds, beautiful rolling countryside, close to Lewes, Brighton and the coast.

I cannot imagine a better place to stay. I am moderately disabled so Ann and Martin gave us the Copse Room on the ground floor and we were also able to use the magnificent lounge. The breakfast choice was excellent, from Continental to a very - Full English Breakfast. The house is striking: a long modern building in spacious woodland where visitors can walk freely.

At White Lodge Ann and Martin have created a perfect retreat and sanctuary. Not only are they wonderful, friendly hosts who serve great food (the veggie full English breakfast was as good as I could have wished for), but their attention to fine details throughout make this somewhere we would definitely like to return to. It is certainly high on my list for when I next wish to escape the city grind. Our walk in the snowy woods behind the house was the wintery icing on the cake - Narnia-esque magic! Our hosts were kind , welcoming and very helpful with directions, dining advice etc . Their attention to detail was amazing . The food was delicious and the produce used of high quality and often local . Ann and Martin are obviously interested in good food and their breakfasts are varied and beautifully cooked . They always strive to make their guests happy and they succeed ! They have created a lovely and luxurious retreat in their unusual house .

Tips:

We enjoyed visiting Charleston Farmhouse and Monk's House in the footsteps of the Bloomsbury group .Our guide at Charleston really brought the past to life .On the way home we went to the Towner gallery in Eastbourne where we admired paintings and watercolours by Nash and Ravilious of the places where we had been walking like Cuckmere Haven , Seven Sisters and the Downs above Glyndebourne . A wonderful experience !

A little oasis of peace and nature. Great hospitality. Modern and spacious rooms. Clean, no carpets, wooden floors. The shower is fantastic, we will install a similar one in our apartment. We enjoyed the garden, where we could prepare ourselves for the operas in Glyndebourne. We will sure come back.

Tips:

We had difficulty to find the place because we didn't punch the postal code into our GPS - as suggested! Absolutely romantic and short journey to Glyndebourne Opera house. On the way "The cock", very romantic pub and restaurant (the singers of Glyndebourne sometimes eat here in the Long Interval). Problem: only 3 rooms, so booking well ahead recommendable.

We have just returned from four days and nights at White Lodge – what a treat! Anne and Martin have created a 5 star B&B which combines in equal measure comfort, modern design, idyllic surroundings, great breakfasts and unobtrusive attention to the detail of their guests’ needs. If you are looking for a traditional, chintzy English cottage with roses round the door then White Lodge is not for you. However, if you delight in modern design, spare but beautifully executed interior décor and outstanding craftsmanship you’ll love it. Breakfasts are substantial, generous and locally sourced – great scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, homemade sourdough and delicious Irish wheat bread (Anne will give you the recipe if you ask). You’ll be greeted with tea and cake on your arrival, supplied with a chocolate brownie in your room when you get back from Glyndebourne (“just in case you are hungry”) and brought iced water, elderflower cordial and a fan to keep you cool on the hottest day of the year. You’ll be provided with maps of local walks in the ancient beech woods surrounding the property, as well as driving routes to local pubs and the opera house, and there’s a wealth of local information and advice available. I can’t recommend White Lodge too strongly.

Tips:

Lots of good local pubs for evening meals, plus all the delights of East Sussex - Brighton, Seven Sisters,. Ash down Fo rest, National Trust properties, etc.

An absolutely beautifully kept place. We loved the friendly feel to the place, with the cats in situ. The food was amazing (Richard is quite a fussy person with regards to his cooked eggs and he had no complaints!). Vegetarian sausage was offered, but Richard was not too keen on it (fussy eater!). The fresh fruit at breakfast was so fresh and juicy. The homemade sourdough toast was excellent. It was wonderful watching the birds in the garden from the bed. A very tranquil, peaceful stay. You were both very friendly and helpful and it was lovely chatting about the history of White Lodge. We also really loved the freshly baked cake each day - brilliant!

Wonderful! We spent 1 night here, and I can honestly say it was the best B&B , and better than any hotel we have stayed in in the UK. It was quiet, clean, luxuriously comfortable, and the bed was amazing! Anne and Martin were the perfect hosts, and we were made to feel very welcome. The attention to detail was very much appreciated- the hairdryer, slippers, even ear plugs! I used them as my husband is a snorer! There is a great choice on the Breakfast menu, and we were even greeted with home made cake! We will definitely go back for a longer stay when we are down near Lewes again!

The location of the White Lodge is very quiet in a woodland area. It is a very modern, light and spacious B&B. The room we stayed in was very spacious, fresh and with plenty of light, overlooking the garden. Great oak floors. The bathroom was beautiful with only the best products for hair and body, again very spacious and modern. Ann and Martin are wonderful hosts, they prepared an excellent breakfast, with fresh products. We got great advice for dinner at a pub. We only stayed for one night, but we think it is the best B&B we ever stayed at.

A fantastic stay at White Lodge. We were in the area looking at wedding venues and chose to stay here as it looked great and had good reviews. We weren't disappointed! The food and service was excellent, and the rooms were luxurious with beautiful views. Ann did a great job of catering to our vegetarian/vegan meal requests. Unfortunately we were only here for one night but we're now planning to return soon, and if we can book our wedding party here in eighteen months time we'll be very happy indeed!

Tips:

Enjoy the pheasants, and bring good shoes or trainers if you're planning to explore the acres of forest at the back!

This is the best B&B we have ever encountered. Ann and Martin invite guests to share their beautiful home. We felt more like house guests than paying guests. The location is wonderfully peaceful and yet very easy to find. The attention to detail is excellent and the quality of everything is exquisite. Parking is more than adequate. The rooms are very clean and everything you need is provided. Breakfast choice is comprehensive. It is all well presented, and delicious. There are no negatives.

Tips:

We ate in the rainbow inn just down the road and at the cock inn at Ringmer. Both were good. Plenty of choice and competitively priced. Both open on Sunday and Monday nights. If you stay on a monday, see if Plumpton races is on. Lovely little course. Quite cheap (£16) for entry to all facilities - ideal for a first time racegoer.

I have travelled a lot both for work and pleasure and must say that this is by far the cleanest and most welcoming BnB I've ever stayed in. The details such as keeping laundry in-house, providing high quality bedlinen and towels, soaps and teas/coffees make it super special and as a guest you feel very well taken care of - down to the great breakfast options and super friendly chats.

Tips:

We stayed at the White Lodge for two nights and its was an amazing getaway from the busy city. The B&B is set in an idyllic surrounding, with Cooksbridge & Lewes in close distance. There is lovely walks in the surrounding areas and the hosts are full of knowledge so can advise you where the best places are. The hosts are very welcoming and ensured you have a restful stay from the welcoming, stunning rooms, vast range for breakfast (all ingredients from local suppliers, which we managed to purchase before leaving) and the lovely home cooked brownies left in our room. We had a wonderful country break and we would highly recommend staying here.

Tips:

The Rainbow Inn is close to the B&B and the food is lovely. Bring your walking boots as there is loads of public footpaths which guide you to picturesque settings. We advise driving if you want to go to the local town, however if you just want to enjoy the coutryside the hosts were willing to pick you up and drop you off at the station/local bar.

Stayed at White Lodge for our Anniversary - well looked after! Beautiful refurbished building to a high spec. Met by Ann - great host, even provided us with some Tea and Brownies on arrival (yum!). Warm clean, free wifi, high end spec room, good facilities and great rainwater drench walk in shower. Comfy bed - great sleep. Ann even gave us a lift to the Rainbow Pub to ensure we were looked after by Tash - who not only gave us a great dinner but also a lift home! Breakfast was amazing - Sourdough & Eggs (my favourite!) - although plenty of other options for others. Proper Coffee. Recommend A+++++. Would def. come back again and recommend others. 25th October 2015:

We stayed for three nights in the Woodland room. It is large and comfortable with two upholstered chairs, good lighting, lots of clothes hangers, a big window with a view of the woods, blackout curtains and a comfortable bed and pillows. The room has a tea pot and kettle and a large selection of teas. Each day there was fresh milk and baked goods. Especially appreciated were brownies straight from the oven when we returned wet and cold, having been caught in a sudden shower. The bathroom is roomy with storage under the sink and a fogless mirror. The shower is big and has controls set out of the flow of water so that it can be turned on without being blasted by either hot or cold water. Ann is warm, personable and helpful. She has a large collection of brochures about attractions in the area and is a good source of information herself. She is extremely kind and went to great lengths to ensure her guests were comfortable. She has two beautiful cats, even if they were sleek and shiny from controlling the rabbit population. White Lodge was easy to find. There's a large white sign as well as a light at the entrance. There are two pubs nearby with good food. We highly recommend it.

Tips:

There are many enjoyable places within a 30 minute drive. The two nearby pubs - Five Bells and the Rainbow Inn - are comfortable and have good food. Although Five Bells is slightly better (take a sweater as they keep it cool). Ann knows the area and made several suggestions that worked for us.

What a wonderful stay. Ann & Martin's renovation into The White Lodge B&B, open only six months, is perfection. The house - modern, two stories with a top sundeck - sits in 10 acres of woodland on a quiet road with a roomy car park. Everything is first class. The three large bedrooms (one on ground floor) are decorated in a sleek, minimalist style with wonderful en-suite bathrooms. The owner's guide to the house is exemplary. The list of breakfast options is huge, including Eggs Benedict and wonderful sliced fresh fruit "salad". The downstairs lounge area is available for use. Ann, previously a business executive for Pepsi, is so friendly and helpful. When booking I mentioned I was visiting Vanessa Bell's Charleston, near Lewes. As a fortuitous coincidence, the young woman who helps Ann works as a guide on Sundays there. She shared information about the family and the facility that made my visit extra special. I could rave on much longer, but this review title says it all. If you are going to be driving in this area, you couldn't find a better B&B.

Breakfast was terrific - fresh fruit salad, fresh juices, breads made by Ann, organic local cheeses, organic eggs cooked as you like. Ann even located the non-fat plain yogurt I eat for breakfast every morning. She was helpful with local restaurant recommendations and printing maps of local attractions in Lewes. I highly recommend the White Lodge B & B if you are visiting East Sussex.

Tips:

Rainbow Inn Pub & Restaurant nearby. Visit the town of Lewes with all it's history. Brighton only 9 miles away.

In 50 years of travelling this is the best B&B we've stayed in by a country mile. It's so stylish comfortable and clean it's more like a top end boutique hotel. The bathroom is to die for: huge walk in shower, high quality fittings and constantly changing towels. The main features of a B&B are the bed - beautifully comfortable, and the breakfast - just outstanding. You can order virtually anything you want the day before so that Ann can shop for the freshest ingredients, and the fruit salad was utterly delicious and full of the best and most expensive fruit available. I thought I made the best brownies in the world but clearly Ann does.

Tips:

We spent 2 nights in order to go to Glyndebourne and visit some Sussex gardens. White Lodge is ideally situated for both.

Anne is a welcoming and cheerful hostess who provides every comfort and a wonderful breakfast.

White Lodge is a very high class, high spec B & B and Ann and Martin are lovely hosts. The reason we've only given 4 stars for facilities is because we don't like the communal table for breakfast. We don't usually speak to each other this early in the morning, let alone strangers! A couple of things we felt were missing in the room was a full length mirror and a box of tissues. The gluten free brownies were delicious by the way, thank you very much. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Stopped here for one night with my wife whilst in the area - having found it via Trip Adviser. To call it a B&B however doesn't really do the White House justice! Anne and Martin have not compromised on quality when it comes to the property's finish and fittings - even down to supplying complementary slippers to protect their new Oak floors. Lovely friendly contact before arriving and a great welcome when we did. We arrived too late for afternoon tea so Anne gave us some homemade Brownie, and it was lovely. Very well appointed and spacious room overlooking the woodland (also owned as part of the White House) including an array of drinks - approx 5/6 different types of tea. Homemade pastries and breads with a fabulous breakfast the following morning, after which my wife spent a couple of hours sunning herself on the flat roof sundeck on the wicker and leather seating. If you're in the area make sure you stay here - we will without fail if we are this way again.

Ask for one of the (larger) upstairs Woodland View or Garden View rooms

We've just come back from a great stay at White Lodge, and I may as well cut to the chase: if you're looking for a B&B that's stunningly well appointed, beautifully located, pristinely presented – and that also has excellent breakfasts! – in the Sussex Downs, Lewes or Glyndebourne area, I'd recommend that you look no further. You can see from the exterior photo that the building is in a very modern style, but it's fabulously softened by the bucolic setting. We really enjoyed the luxury of the rooms, the attention to detail, and the warmth of care that we experienced from the kindest of hosts, Ann and Martin.

Tips:

We were only down for Glyndebourne which is about 7 miles away. Our room contained a neat, comprehensive file of information, with multiple copies of leaflets. It's under 14 miles to Brighton and within striking distance of so many places to see and things to do.

We booked one night’s stay at The White Lodge simply as a means to attend Glyndebourne without having to rush back to London after the performance, a quick stopover. We certainly were not expecting leaving it would be so difficult! The property is stunning, a lovingly restored mid century villa in the middle of the countryside, amidst manicured lawns and acres of forest, in perfect idyllic countryside quietness, but only 10 minutes from the nearest train station. The warm welcome from the owners, Ann and Martin, far exceed our expectations and we ended up having tea and homemade cake on the sun terrace within minutes of arriving, certainly helping to ease ourselves into the bank holiday mood. The property is large, totally newly refurbished to a very high standard, with equally sizeable, extremely well appointed guestrooms, kitted out impeccably for a perfect 5 star feel. All amenities are provided, from coffee to snacks in the room, the bathrooms are huge with great showers and everything you may need for your stay, and the bedrooms have the most comfortable bed and linen we have ever found in any hotel. And there’s also a large flat panel TV in each room and free wifi throughout of course. You’re made to feel at home from the start (you even get a pair of slippers), with access to the lounge, kitchen and indeed the owner’s great knowledge of the surroundings and plenty of tips to improve your visit of the South Downs, a stunning part of England only an hour away from London. Nothing is too much trouble for the Ann and Martin, helping with cabs, directions and even supplying my wife with an extra pair of tights as hers (which they didn’t charge for) snagged on our way out to the opera. Breakfast was a gastronomic feast, local produce such as a wonderful cheese selection an organic eggs laid the day before, as well as homemade breads (the sourdough was light and fluffy) and freshly mixed smoothies. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back, this time allowing far more time to enjoy the area and the hospitality. Ann and Martin are also great company, and we had so much fun getting to know them, that they even gave us a lift back to the station so we could chat some more. We will be back.

Tips:

Spend more time than us to explore the local farm shops, breweries and take in the scenery with long hikes!

An excellent B&B which is run by Ann & Martin who made us feel very welcome on our arrival. The hotel is surrounded by woodland and gardens. Our bedroom with its King size bed was spotless, as was the hotel itself. Nothing was to much for Ann, she was there to greet us with a cup of coffee and cakes when we came back from a day out. Ann & Martin are very knowledgeable about the area, with advice on local gardens, antique places, restaurants etc. When we go back again to this part of east Sussex we will look no further than this wonderful B&B.

Tips:

The B&B is ideally situated close to the Town Centre of Lewes, with its array of antique shops, and plenty of places to eat and drink. The coastal resorts of Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings etc are all within easy reach. Arundel Castle and gardens is well worth a visit, with lots of antique shops and eateries in Arundel. There are quite a few restaurants near to the B&B, The Rainbow Inn, The five Bells and our favourite the Cock Inn are all within a 5/10 minute drive away.
