I spent a very comfortable, quiet and relaxing night in the beautiful setting of Bo-peep Farmhouse. John and Eileen were warm, friendly and extremely hospitable hosts. The location is stunning with many walks from the front door. The breakfast was generous and very tasty. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you.

Stay here if you are going to Hunter, Gather Cook as 10 minutes walk down the (slightly muddy!) track. Great for Glyndebourne or if you are going walking in the local area. Lovely pub down the road with great food - The Cricketers.

We were made to feel extremely welcome. Our room had lovely views of the South Downs. Also loved all of the thoughtful touches in the room. Great selection for breakfast and it was a welcomed start to the day. In terms of location it was ideal for attending an event at Hunter Gather Cook. We would definitely stay there again.

Booking was very easy, quick responses to every question. We came to see family with our 3 year old so we had a bed in our room for him. Hosts were lovely and gave us a map for a superb walk 8km loop, pub half way for refreshments. The b&b was immaculate and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and a hot option, with lots of homemade jam and local honey. Thankyou John and Eileen! We’ll be back! Highly recommend.

Great base for exploring the whole area by car or on foot. Going up onto the Downs is a MUST! We also had a great walk looping around from the Seven Sisters to Cuckmere Haven, up to the visitor's centre then heading East throught he forest to East Dean (stop at the Tiger Inn for refreshments) and back to Birling Gap.

We had a lovely stay at Bo-Peep farmhouse. The location is beautiful, nestling in the Downs.It's lovely and quiet being off the beaten track (A27) The hosts are a charming couple and the acommodation is very comfortable with excellent facilities and the breakfast offers everything one could wish for. Charleston Farmhouse. Very good cafe in the magnificent barn. Art exhibitions, House of the Bloomsbury artists to visit, wonderful garden. Shop.

Fabulous stay at Bo Peep Farmhouse. We were attending Glyndebourne and it was the perfect location, less than 5 miles away. Glorious views from the property and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Currently looking for an excuse to stay again as there are wonderful walks in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Farmhouse was a lovely place to stay, with very comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast, and convivial chat with the hosts and other guests. John and Eileen made us feel very welcome and gave us good advice on the area. We were sorry to be there for just one night!

This is a great place to stay if you are exploring all the places with Bloomsbury connections - Charleston Farmhouse, Monk's House, Berwick Church are all nearby, plus the lovely village of Alfriston and more. We were glad to have been given the tip to drive up to the top of Bo-Peep Lane to see the stunning views. We had dinner at the George Inn in Alfriston, which is highly recommended.

Fantastic house and location with dreamy views. Both John and Irene were lovely hosts and couldn't do enough to help us out. Sadly we had to leave very early in the morning, so missed out on what would have been a top home cooked breakfast. I'll be back!

Had a lovely lunch and beers in The Cricketers pub just five minutes away in a small village called Berwick. If you have time, make sure you walk up onto the south downs as well for breathtaking views.

We have stayed here many times and the standard remains excellent. The rooms are better than many hotels we have stayed in and the position of the old farmhouse is superb, with the Downs just above. it is remarkably quiet for this busy part of south-east England and the gardens are lovely.

John and Aileen gave us a warm welcome and the accommodation is exactly as described, including the beautiful, quiet location, and stunning vista over Sussex from the top of the hill (a short drive, or pleasant walk). Breakfast was top class, and our hosts were helpful with local info., including a restaurant for dinner, and advice about how to get there.

Cricketers Arms, just a 25 min walk along quiet track, We had an excellent meal. Berwick Church is an exceptional charm, where the vicar kindly delayed his locking up so that we could visit.

John & Eileen are excellent hosts & engage nicely with visitors. They are helpful & knowledgeable about what to do & where to go locally. The bedrooms are not huge but are very well furnished, have tremendous views & the beds are very comfortable, plus there are little stashes of chocolates!

There are beautiful walks from the front door to the remarkable painted church at Berwick, Charleston Farmhouse (country home of the Bloomsbury Group), Firle village & much else. There are excellent pubs within easy reach. It’s one of the most convenient B&Bs for Glyndebourne & not far from Farley Farm (home of the Surrealists).

Wow what a find! From the moment we arrived to when we left was a pure joy. John and Eileen are so warm and friendly and very happy to share their knowledge of the area. We had a fantastic stay at Bo-peep Farmhouse whilst walking the South Downs Way. Eileen and John are the perfect hosts and it was a real pleasure chatting to them and getting some of their vast local knowledge! The house itself is in a superb location a short walk off the trail - a very quiet and peaceful spot. The room was lovely and we could tell the care and attention to detail that went into preparing it. It was extremely clean and comfortable with lots of nice touches. The breakfast was delicious with a selection of cereal, yoghurt and very nice fresh fruit salad, followed by a cracking full English to order! This was our favourite place that we stayed in our week hiking the trail and I would highly recommend it. Thank you to Eileen and John for a really nice experience.

Excellent b&b in great and quiet location. John and Eileen very welcoming and go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Very comfortable bed and powerful shower. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had after staying at many b&b’s. Great cereal and fruit selection followed by freshly cooked breakfast. Toast brought to the table with breakfast so not cold! All in all highly recommended and we’ll be back for sure. There is so much more to this area than you may appreciate.

Close proximity to many attractions in South Downs national park. Bout 10/15 minutes from Eastbourne attractions and theatres. Few minutes from Historic villages of Alfriston and Firle. Firle House well worth a visit and a has a quality cafe with terrace. Nearby are the Longman and white horse hillside features, together with the Longman brewery. Also try and find the quaint little church at Lullington and the attractively decorated church at Berwick village. For picturesque views don’t miss Firle beacon

Absolutely loved our all too brief stay at the Bo-peep Farmhouse. The location is idyllic, John and Eileen were welcoming, and we had a lovely time conversing with them after our breakfast on the day of our departure. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Bo Peep is an independent gem and I fully recommend staying here as a base to explore the surrounding countryside and all its riches.

The only negative would be the inaccessibility of the garden. It was a beautiful day, I wanted to take my book to the inviting Lutyens bench, but as it turned out there the gate was padlocked. That wasn't so nice.

We have been coming to Bo-Peep Farmhouse for many years. John and Eileen are the best of hosts and their breakfasts are excellent. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. We would never want to stay anywhere else.

We always stay here when we come to Glyndebourne but there are many other places to visit and things to do - Charleston, Lewes and wonderful walks on the Downs - we always go up the hill above the Farmhouse to look at the beautiful English countryside before we leave. It is very peaceful and calming.

What a lovely place to stay and what brilliant, relaxed and helpful hosts. We were down for our daughter's wedding and John and Eileen were so kind, even finding us space in the fridge for food for the pre-wedding supper. we had a comfortable room and enjoyed their excellent, freshly cooked breakfasts, conversing with fellow guests. this is a brilliant place to stay for Glyndebourne, visits, walking on the South Downs Way - and local weddings!

Bo-Peep Farmhouse is perfectly situated for accommodation if you are walking part of the South Down Way or just visiting the area. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, the room was clean and bright and the breakfast was delicious.

Walk up the hill from the farmhouse to the South Downs Way and on towards Firle Beacon. On a clear day the 360 degree views are magnificent.

Visit Bo Peep and the South downs. You can walk up to there and the South downs from the guesthouse but better to drive up as it's steep. Car park is free. Visit the Long Man of Wilmington. I have stayed at Bo-peep cottage many times now, which says it all. Fantastic location and John and Eileen couldn't be more accommodating hosts. An excellent breakfast to prepare you for a walk along the South Downs.

Lots to see and do in the area but being sited close to the South Downs Way makes Bo-peep the perfect place to start a lovely circular day walk, going either east of west along the ridgeway.

Kind and friendly hosts. John and Eileen gave us a warm and sympathetic welcome after our arrival was delayed to late evening due to an unexpected roadblock nearby. Delicious breakfast, comfy bed and many thoughtful extras: including sweets, many kinds of teas, and hung photos of historic significance about the farmhouse in the room.

Stunning panoramic view at the top of the hill, including the sea, for walkers. Pubs and visitor centres, such as Middle Farm down the road, and Charleston house garden and gallery within 10 minute drive. Lovely countryside within the South Downs and beautiful villages to browse, with an excellent cream tea next to the post office in Glynde!

Hidden Gem! Eileen & Jon are the perfect hosts making us feel very welcome. We had stunning views of the South Downs in our double-aspected room. Pubs/restaurants are a short drive or significant walk away, but it can be nice to work off the meal with a stroll back to one's bed. The owners will provide a flashlight for those without their own for returns after dark.

We have been coming here for many years on our annual visits to Glyndebourne. Last year of course, the pandemic called a halt to everything. But John and Eileen have weathered that storm and Bo-Peep is welcoming and comfortable as it has always been. It is a real little gem, nestling in a beautiful corner of the South Downs. Immaculately kept with really delicious breakfasts, you will want to come back again and again, as we do, to this delightful old farmhouse.

Glyndebourne of course for opera fans if you can get tickets well in advance. Otherwise, enjoy the walks along the South Downs Way and the ancient town of Lewes, the Bloomsbury Group’s farmhouse at Charleston for its festival of great lectures in May and open visits at other times. And just the lovely villages and country side which are quintessentially English.

Fabulous stay at Bo-Peep. John & Eileen couldn't have been more help. We'll certainly be back. It's a great location & perfect for exploring the area. You don't even have to get back in your car if you don't want to!

Eat at 2 local pubs which are withing 1/2 hours walking distance. Both were fine although the meal at the Cricketers was superb as was the service. We had a day of rain so we spent it in Lewes which was really interesting & recommended. We also visited Alfriston & Seaford & Seven Sisters. All well worth a visit.
